BookCliffs Loop
Jun 2 @ 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

Lester and Ruth Will lead the Bookcliffs Loop in the Grand Junction area. We plan to leave from the north side of exit 227 (in UT) on I70 at 10:30am. Allow about 2 to 21/4 hours drive time from Montrose, allowing for construction and traffic. Total mileage for the trail is about 77 miles and the trail is rated a 1 – basically a dirt road but we want to explore it. Please have a full tank of gas (last chance for a fill up is Fruita exit), lunch, snacks and water.

Rock Junction

The Grand Mesa Jeep Club has indicated they intend to hold their annual event Rock Junction from Thursday June 3 through Sunday, June 6th. Reference their website for more information as it becomes available.

West End Poker Run

The Nucla / Naturita Chamber of Commerce will host their annual West End Poker Run on Saturday, June 12. Registration is currently open but is limited to 30 vehicles on a first come basis. Not trail rating can be given as trail to be run is not disclosed ahead of time. Lunch is provided on the trail but have a full tank of gas and bring water and snacks. Corkscrew Clean up

Stan M. will lead the clean up for our adopted trail of Corkscrew Pass in the San Juans. Trail rated a “4”. Meet at South City Market at 9am. Have a full tank of gas, bring lunch, water, snacks, etc. This run is dependent on trail conditions and / or snow.

Rick A. will lead reopening the gates on Poughkeepsie. Plan to meet at South City Market at 9am. Have a full tank of gas, lunch, water, snacks, etc. Trail is rated as difficult. This run is dependent on trail conditions and /or snow.

Cinnamon Pass to American Basin

Lester and Ruth will lead a trip over Cinnamon Pass and into American Basin to check for wildflowers. Trail is rated a 3. Meet at South City Market at 8:30am. Have a full tank of gas, lunch, water, snacks, etc.

Uncompahgre Exploration

Eddie and Linnea will lead an exploration of 2 trails up on the Uncompahgre Plateau. They have never done these trails before so a trail rating is not available. There also no guarantee of how long they are or their condition – pure exploration!!!! Meet at Old City Market at 9:00 am with a full tank of gas, lunch, water and snacks.

Reservation Ridge – CANCELLED
Jul 19 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Lester and Ruth will lead Reservation Ridge and Timber Canyon Trail. Both trails are rated a “2”. Will drive back from Duchesne on pavement. Leave both days from the Holiday Inn Express in Price UT at 9:00am. Have lunch, a full tank of gas, snacks, water, etc.

Dry Canyon Trail – CANCELLED
Jul 20 @ 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

Lester and Ruth will lead Dry Canyon Trail in the Price UT area. Trail is rated a “3”. This trail connects to Nine Mile Canyon, so you could continue on and explore Nine Mile Canyon, if you have never done that before. This trail does get up above 10,000ft at the high point.

Leave from the Holiday Inn Express in Price UT at 9:00am. Have lunch, a full tank of gas, snacks, water, etc.
